On thursday Galatasaray had an match with Benfica which is a Portuguese team. This was Galatasaray's first match with a Portuguese club. It took place at the Berlin stadium. Benfica was the shown as the team which had a better chance to win. But Galatasaray won this game and also played really good, Benfica just had one important chance to score but except that Galatasaray didn't give them any chance to score. Galatasaray scored two goals at the seond half, the scorers were Emre Aşık first and Ümit Karan later. After this match Galatasaray became the first at the UEFA group.
